Preferences: Paths

Hex Workshop allows you to customize your starting directory when opening, saving and exporting files along with the location of temporary files. These options can be changed by selecting Preferences from the Options menu and then selecting the Paths tab. Below are description of these options:

Open From / Save To

You can specify the starting directory that Hex Workshop should use when saving or opening files. By default, Hex Workshop remembers and uses the last used path.

NOTE: Recently used files opened from the File Menu do not adjust the last used path.

Export To:

Hex Workshop allows you to specify a separate starting export path. The last used path will be saved and used by default.

Temporary Files:

Hex Workshop uses temporary files when you are viewing and editing documents. You can specify where those temporary files are located or Hex Workshop will use the windows default if not set.
